We keep having them anyway.
There is something deeply satisfying about working at a difficult thing. Finding a little more pace. Understanding a mistake well enough to stop repeating it. Coming back the next evening with something to try.
HundredForce was built around that pursuit.
We love racing. We also love the days and weeks before a big event: the practice, the anticipation, and the conversations about how to bring the car home. The preparation gives us something to work on together long before the green flag.
The race is where we find out what that work was worth.
Professionals Who Race
Sports car racing has a long tradition of the gentleman driver: someone whose career exists away from the racetrack, but whose desire to compete brings them back to it. Many also help fund the teams and racing programs that make their participation possible.
There is something familiar in that commitment. Earning a living elsewhere. Making room for racing. Taking it seriously.
We are not professional racers. We are professionals who race.
Our careers exist away from the racetrack. We have customers to serve, work to finish, families, and responsibilities that do not disappear because there is an endurance race on the calendar.
Somewhere around those commitments, we make room for reviewing telemetry, creating media, discussing setups, and practicing. The next race gives those hours a purpose. Having teammates depending on us gives them weight.
That is the spirit behind HundredForce. We value preparation, respect the competition, and believe how we race matters as much as where we finish.
That belief is easy to state. Our decisions on track have to support it.
The timing screen records the result. It does not explain the work behind it, the decisions that shaped it, or what we would do differently given another chance.
Those are the things we want to share.
The Chronicles
The Chronicles gives that work a place on the page.
Here you will find race reports, engineering notes, essays, and reflections from inside HundredForce. We want to document what we tried, what happened, and what we learned from the difference.
Sometimes that means looking closely at a race. Sometimes it means following a thought that came with us when we stepped away from the rig. Sometimes it will be a random rambling and that's just the way it is going to be.
Some stories will celebrate success. Others will require us to admit that we got something wrong. Both belong here.
So do the friendships, the conversations, and the small moments that make us want to come back. A result matters. So does understanding why the experience stayed with us.
The cars, drivers, and challenges will change. These pages will give us a record of what we did and how our thinking changed with it.
That is where the Chronicles begins: with the racing, the work around it, and the people making time for both.
